Assembly, charging and first use

Adult assembly and charging are required. Use only the compatible supplied charger and follow the model manual. Before every ride, inspect the steering, wheels, seat, seat belt, fasteners, battery connections, remote and controls. Charge the battery after each use and at least monthly during storage.

Age, fit and adult supervision

The HL558 manual specifies ages 3 and older, one rider and a maximum rider weight of 55 lb (25 kg). Age is only one part of fit: the child must sit securely, use the seat belt and be able to hold the steering wheel. An adult must directly supervise every ride. The parental remote can assist with steering and movement, but it does not replace proper rider fit or supervision.

Where to ride

Use outdoors on a suitable firm, generally level surface away from traffic, water, stairs, steep slopes, drop-offs and other hazards. Do not use on sand, dirt or gravel. Speed and runtime vary with rider weight, surface, incline, temperature and battery condition.
