WARRANTY INFORMATION

Please Note: To maintain eligibility for warranty coverage on damaged components or damage resulting from shipping and handling, customers must inspect the package and contents upon receipt and before beginning assembly. Broken components must be reported immediately or at most, 48 hours after confirmed delivery.

To report a purchase that has been received damaged, contact support@kidsviponline.com with your order number and images/video evidence of the damage. If such damages are reported after the product has been assembled or more than 48 hours after delivery is confirmed, we are unable to verify that the defect was caused by manufacturing or handling. In these cases, replacement parts or repair services will be offered at the customer's expense.

At KidsVIP, we stand behind the quality and safety of every product we offer. Our warranty program is designed to ensure peace of mind for every customer, with transparent terms and ongoing support. All newly purchased powered ride-on vehicles are covered from manufacturer defects occurring under normal use under our complimentary standard warranty or our add-on extended product warranty.

STANDARD WARRANTY COVERAGE

Covered components are eligible for ONE replacement during the coverage period for verified manufacturing defects or observable normal wear and tear. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase and covers individual components as detailed below:

Covered Components & Duration

  • Motherboard โ€” 12 Months
  • Soundboard โ€” 12 Months
  • Charger โ€” 6 Months
  • Battery โ€” 6 Months
  • Motor(s) (limited to 1 replacement per motor) โ€” 6 Months

Warranty replacements are issued for individual components only. If multiple parts are requested at once, the claim will be classed as a combined replacement and processed according to the Combined Replacement Value Restrictions below.

Combined Replacement Value Restrictions

  • Cost price โ‰ค 349.99 โ€” Up to 60% of the productโ€™s tax-exclusive purchase price
  • Cost price โ‰ค 449.99 โ€” Up to 40% of the productโ€™s tax-exclusive purchase price
  • Cost price โ‰ค 899.99 โ€” Up to 25% of the productโ€™s tax-exclusive purchase price
  • Cost price โ‰ค 1399.99 โ€” Up to 20% of the productโ€™s tax-exclusive purchase price.

Warranty Conditions & Requirements

To ensure validity, all warranty claims require the customer to provide:

  • Photos or videos of the issue
  • Wheel-by-wheel motor testing (when applicable)
  • Completion of troubleshooting with a KIDSVIP technician

Root Cause Diagnosis: If multiple components appear non-functional, warranty support will troubleshoot the root cause.ย 

Motor Replacement: Replacement of motors will only occur when individual motor defects are immediately reported and verified. Often, issues affecting multiple wheels or functions are caused by:

  • Wiring connection issues
  • Incorrect assembly
  • Battery installation errors
  • Overloading
  • Electrical faults unrelated to motor defects

*Simultaneous failure of multiple motors is mechanically improbable and typically indicates one of the causes listed above.

Warranty Exclusions (Not Covered by Standard Warranty):

  • Go-Kart Wheels
  • Physical/Cosmetic Damages
  • Products for Commercial Use
  • Defects resulting from modifications, improper/Lack of maintenance, weather exposure, improper storage, improper assembly, product misuse, overloading, accidents, and water damage

EXTENDED (UPGRADED) WARRANTY COVERAGE

KidsVIP proudly partners with CPS to offer comprehensive product warranty coverage to all customers. โ€œCPSย (Consumer Priority Service)ย is a leader and innovator in the field of service plans. The company offers extended warranty coverage for virtually all high-ticketย consumer purchases ranging from high-end consumer electronics to computers, major appliances, power tools, lawn & garden equipment, and more.โ€

While KidsVIP handles the servicing and repair portion of this warranty, this is primarily a third-party warranty coverage, and so, claim submissions must be processed through CPS.ย 

This extended warranty provides comprehensive coverage โ€” including parts and labor โ€” for one (1) KidsVIP ride-on vehicle. The warranty period begins 30 days from the date of purchase and covers individual components as detailed below:ย

  • Motherboard โ€” 2 or 3 Years
  • Soundboard โ€” 2 or 3 Years
  • Connectorsย โ€” 2 or 3 Years
  • Wiringย โ€” 2 or 3 Years
  • Motor(s) โ€” 2 or 3 Years
  • Charger โ€” 2 or 3 Years
  • Battery โ€” 2 or 3 Years

Oneโ€”Time Irreparable Accidental Damage

  • Water-Related Damageย โ€” 2 or 3 Years
  • Cosmetic / Superficial Damage โ€” 2 or 3 Years
  • Body Component (e.g., Steering Wheel, Seat, Frame, etc.) โ€” 2 or 3 Years
  • Force Majeure (Extraordinary, unforeseeable events, e.g., natural disasters) โ€” 2 or 3 Years

Coverage Terms

Extended warranty coverage holders are required to submit a claim before receiving any replacement parts or dropping off the product for repair. We are unable to serve any extended warranty customers who do not have a scheduled in-person or virtual appointment. ย 

Coverage Value: Extended coverage holders are entitled to replacement parts and repair services valued up to the purchase cost of your ride-on vehicle; i.e., A product purchased at $599.99 carries a coverage value of $599.99 to act as a credit balance with our Service Centre. Each time a replacement part or service is issued, the value is deducted from that balance

You will be required to provide the following:

  • CPS Warranty Number
  • KidsVIP Order Number
  • A copy of your purchase receipt or order confirmation email
  • Product Name
  • Product Serial Number (Product Colour)
  • A brief description of the issue
  • Your contact information *ensure this matches the information provided with your purchase

Warranty Exclusions:

  • Applicable shipping fees for replacements
  • Damage resulting from modifications, improper/Lack of maintenance, weather exposure, improper storage, improper assembly, product misuse, overloading, accidents, or water damage

Replacements and Settlements

If your product is deemed irreparable, you will be offered the following remedies valued up to 50% of the initial product cost, adjusted to factor in product depreciation and the sum of previous approved claims

  2. Purchase Credit Product Replacement

KidsVIP reserves the right to void this warranty if product misuse continues after a precaution notice has been provided to the customer. The warranty may also be voided in cases where company policies are violated or if abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior toward our employees or representatives is observed.
